Broken Crayons Still Colour for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, hope you're all safe and well.   Today I have another art journal share from my 6x6, my favourite journal.

These pages were started by adding some different bright acrylic paints.

Once this was dry I added some writing in messy script.

I have used 2 of the Women in Black pieces as masks and dabbed black gesso around the page.  The women have then been highlighted by outlining with white gel pen.  An extra bonus using the black silhouettes as masks with black gesso, I still have them for another project.

For the other side I have just adhered one of the Women in Black and outlined her in white gel pen.  The title was taken from the Art Inspiration Rice Paper.

Live Life Believing for Scrap FX

Hi there, welcome to my first project for October.

I have created an art journal page with some mop ups of gloss spray.  I've used the Rose Garden Stamp and stamped this on deli paper a few times.  This has then been adhered to the backgound to make a cluster of flowers.  Some messy water colouring has added to these.

The Toadstool B Chipboard has also been coloured with watercolours.  I added a layer of gloss gel to this to brighten it up a little.  It was finished off with some Nuvo drops, a little black pen and a quote from the Dream Transparency.

The little fairy has been popped on top of the toadstool with a pair of wings from the Wings Transparency.  The back of these wings were coloured on the back with acrylic paint.

Fly for Scrap FX

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing an art journal page.

This started with some messy paints and a little gloss spray with the Doily Silhouette which you can see on the far right of the pages.

I have then used the Muslin Silhouette and some white gesso randomly around the pages to mimic some clouds.

For the title, I have used a metallic marker to colour the back of a quote from the Phrases rice paper and adhered this with some matte medium.

Once I stuck down the Sea Bird Frame I gave parts of it a heavy coat with some gold crackle paste.  Platinum crackle paste has been spread also on some parts of the frame and around my pages.  Finishing off with some flicks of gold water colour.

Go Against the Flow for Scrap FX

Hi everyone,

I am sharing an art journal page today which started with a little colour on my background.

Next I added a little random stamping with the Chicken Wire Stamp and used black gesso with the Martha Stencil for my main focal point.

I then tore some pieces from Sewing and Stitched Ricepaper and adhered these with matte medium.

To the bottom corner I added a butterfly from the Butterfly Transparency and the title from the Teen Advice Transparency.

It was all finished off by adding a little white pen around the Martha image.

Existence for Scrap FX

Hi everyone.

Today's share is something I've not done before, a mans face.  Apart from a couple of image transfers, I've never added males into my journal pages.  I have to say though, I love this guy.

A few gloss sprays were sprayed onto the background. Then I have used some posca pens to colour the back of some of the circles on the Circle Patterns Transparency and stuck a few around the page.

I wanted my dudes face to stand out and not fade into the background so I have painted the back of this with gesso.  I was then able to adhere him to my paper without it being transparent.

I used pastels to colour his face and top. Some numbers from the Number Tile Transparency have been cut and adhered around the page.  I also stuck down the eye from the Da Vinci Collage paper to this.

I have then used random words from the Text and Typeface Ricepaper.  Once these were stuck down and dried, I have used pastels that match the background to colour over the top of these.  I also did the same around the edge of my guy to make him blend in a little more.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

I Dream of Stars for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, am sharing with you today a canvas.

I started by adding some acrylic paint to my canvas.  Keeping it quite wet I have then pressed the Interlock Stencil into the background to get an imprint of the pattern.

Once this was all dry I have used the Circle Stencil and a posca pen to add some circles across the canvas.

The Circle Hash Frame has been given a coat of black gesso and then covered with brass wax.

I then used the circles in the chipboard as guides to cut out some pieces from the Blue Mandala Collage Paper which has then been glued to the bottom side of the circles.

After adding some embellishments I have filled each chipboard circle with some glossy accents for a nice shiny finish.

Hope you've been inpsired ♥
