Family

During March Words or Whatever sent out some
chipboard to all that applied, to take part in

I wish I took a photo of the gorgeous goodies
before I used them but didn't think at the time.
We received a scalloped frame, the word # Family
and a couple of hearts.

And here's what I came up with.

I removed the middle piece from the frame and
embossed the outside which I have then used to frame
this tiny photo.

I can't believe I got a photo of myself and my
7 brothers and sisters all in that little frame.
Too cool!

For the title and hearts I embossed with a red powder
and then again with gold.

The gorgeous stamp I have used is another
Carabelle stamp that I got from Time to Create.

I gots new stamps!

I have just had the most awesome weekend.
I ventured off to my first Paperific where as one of
this years Scrapbooking Memories Masters, we were
invited to display some of our work.

OMG!  It was awesome and so so strange to
see people looking and talking about my pages.
But I loved it!!

I also had the amazing pleasure of spending time
with these awesome ladies,  some of my fellow Masters,
Alz Callcott (one of my BFFs), Tracey Fowler,
 Michelle Logan and Fiona Paltridge.
Total awe of my company on the weekend.

There are links to all the ladies blogs at the top
right, go check out their fabulousness.

So that brings me to this page and my new stamps.
Plus a 6 am morning, a need to get crafty and a want to
have a new page to add to the lot I was displaying.

Ohh and my fabulous new stash of Carabelle Studio
stamps that I stumbled across at Time to Create.
And I stumbled upon them again a few days later
and then again last week, and probably
will just happen to stubble across some more again
next week
...I have a problem

They're freakin awesome!!

We spied this kookaburra when we
were in Marysville.

I have used 2 different stamps on my background
here with black embossing powder.

Adore, D-lish Scraps

Today my page features one of my nephews,
the cutie Xander.

I started my page with a little random stamping.
Then I have coloured some crackle texture paste to
use with one of my favourite Scrap FX stencils.
I love the look of the crackle pastewith this.

I also wanted to bring in a little yellow to the background.
For this I have done a some water colouring with
a Gelato.

The photo cluster on this page is made up of
3 photos exactly the same, layered on some
have torn around the edges.
I also coloured the cute chipboard word
with Gelatos, this time just blending it with my
fingers.

I kept the them of the chevrons going by using
some Pinkfresh Studio Enamel Chevrons.

I chose to use a couple of different types of
Washi Tape.
See in the above photo and the one below, how the
Washi is curled a little and not sticking to the page.
I did this by sticking my Washi to my craft mat a few
times to take away some of the stickyness.
The way it curls gives the film tape a nice natural
look.

My page has been finished off with a cluster of
Hand Dyed Muslin, Pinkfresh Studio veneers, a
Freckled Fawn paper clip and a Flair Button.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you've been inspired!

Life is Good, D-lish Scraps

I am so excited to be part of the D-lish Scraps
team for another term.

My first share for April includes a photo with
a fabulous group of ladies and was screaming for a
bit of pink and glitter.

I started my page by stamping the butterflies
down the middle and colouring with water colour
pencils.
I grunged them up a little by adding splatters and
masked some gorgeous glitter paste around them.

My photo has been layered with a Gold Stripe
Bag which I have folded and a Scrap FX Scribble
Also tucked amoung my photo cluster is little
pieces of Hand Dyed Muslin.

The cluster on the left is of some washi tape,
Wood bead and die cuts and a Pick 'n' Place

The Life is Good banner, Snapshot die cut and the
arrow and tag above all come from this
super awesome pack from Pinkfresh Studio.

If you click on the picture below it will take you
right to the page with all the other gorgeous things
from the Up in the Clouds collection.

See how cool a bit of torn up muslin looks.
It's fabulous for adding extra colour as well as texture.

My page has been finished off with a few resin
flowers and a pretty little Floral Cabochon.

I will be back tomorrow sharing a page featuring
 one of my nephews.

7 Dots Studio, Find some Colour

This is my entry for the March/April challenge at 7 Dots Studio.
The theme is Nature.

The photo I have chosen to use is from our recent
mini break to Marysville.  It's been 6 years since
the devastating Black Saturday fires and although
there is green all around the gorgeous town, the evidence
of the fires are still visible.

The paper I have used is from the
7 Dots Studio Destination Unkown collection.

Typical with my style, I have added different
textures with stencils, tapes, beads and pearls.

Some crackle paste was added to the piece of chipboard.

I use Whipped Spackle with my stencil and colour
it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals.

The Element Sticker that I have used as my title
is a from the Thoughts Keeper Collection.

It says, try to find some colour in this black and white world.

I trimmed it down and added little sticker off cuts
to make it fit into the bookplate.

The cute little resin flowers and the washi tape
are from my fave place, D-lish Scraps
