Scrap the Girls mid month reveal

This month at Scrap the Girls we've started having
two DT shares a month.
One at the start and some added inspiration
mid month.

And here's my interpretation of another fabulous mood board.

I had the perfect green flowers and hand
dyed muslin from D-lish Scraps in my stash.
I poked a couple about my photo
which I layered with a doily
vellum and some string.

This month we were lucky enough
to be given some gorgeous chipboard goodies
I left some of my chipboad plain
and some I coloured with Wink of
Stella pens and embossing powders.

Our wonderful sponsors for February are as follows:

Imaginarium Chipboard donating a $50 prize pack.

Scrappy Canary donating a $25 voucher  - thank you so much Manda

Make sure you have your entries loaded up on the Scrap
the Girls blog by the end of the month.

Our family = totally nuts

I love kraft!

So I was just a little excited when I saw there was a new challenge
blog, Kraft+

And here's my take on their first challenge.

This pic that was taken at my sister Susie s
wedding.

A keyring and some lollies from the candy bar
=
cheap entertainment.

thanks for stopping by

One more for D-lish Scraps

So I'm back today sharing another page that has been
made with a background that had gone into the
'I don't like' pile.

And once again, am so happy that I hadn't thrown
it in the trash.

Because my background was already done, this
page fell together quick easily.

I pulled out some D-lish Scraps goodies that matched the colours
on the paper and just started layering.

some Worfetti to layer under my photos.

I have torn some Washi Tape and used it to decorate some
of the edges.

Decorated my photo stack with a Frecked Fawn Arrow Clip
and a Flair from the Which Way Words set.

How cool are those Printed Wood Veneer Chevrons?
Love them!
Love them heaps!!

To finish off the page I scrunched a little piece of Coloured Tulle,
Stapled it together and added a Little Birdie Mixed Media
Too cute!

Hope you've enjoyed what I shared this month.
See you again soon.

D-lish Scraps February

This month was the first time ever that I didn't have
a picture in my head of what I wanted to create
for my monthly DT share.

I sat at my desk staring at all the inspiration but was lost
for where to start.

I was running short on time and just didn't have a clue.
Then I started stressing.
Then time started moving.
Then I got distracted.

Over next to a set of drawers was a stack of papers with
lots of throw away pages which I had sprayed
and discarded because they didn't turn out how I wanted.

Three particularly stood out for me, one I will share tomorrow
but the other two have been used on todays page.

And I have to say, I'm a little bit happy that they hadn't made it
to the rubbish yet.

I cut my title on one of the pages and cut it down to about five inches.
Stuck it down with a little glue and sewing and I love the look.
The pink heart was cut from the other half.

I used the fabulous Scrap FX Heart Confetti stencil
to add to my background.

I took a couple of Manilla Shipping Tags, painted them with gesso and sprayed them in colours to match my page and finished them off with some gorgeous twine.

My photo has been mounted on chipboard for dimension and then adhered to a white doily with the tags slipped under.

Under the bottom is a super cute puffy border that came
with the Pinkfresh Studio kit.

I have also used some cute Wood Veneer Hearts, a Mini Wooden Peg,
some resin flowers, and a flair from the PS I Love You set.

Up the top corner I have used a Pinkfresh Studio Enamel Label Frame and
placed a Sequin Bow inside this.

It's really hard to see here but I spread some gesso around the edges
of my bow and a little on top.  It's given it a bit of a worn look
and I love how it turned out.

Thanks heaps for looking.

I'll be back tomorrow with my other salvaged page.
