Shine, D-lish Scraps share

The page I'm sharing today has my least favourite colour
ever featured on it.

Well it was my least favourite until recently.
Seeing all the inspiration in The Scrap Suite and all the gorgeous entries in Lynn's
challenge at the last crop, I suddenly am snapping up every purple
embellie I can get.

I wanted a mirrored type look with my frames so I flipped over one of the
Arrow and Heart frames, with the arrows on each frame pointing in towards my photo.

I've done a little remodelling with the Shine frame.
I've very carefully cut out the stars from the middle of the frame.
This helped with that 'mirrored' look I was going for.

You can also see here above the photo and in the left corner of the frame
I've used the stars that I cut out of the middle of the frame.
I have coloured the stars with Magicals.

I've then used embossing powder and Metallic Melts to give the frames
a couple of different shades of colour.

In my clusters I have used, Resin Whimsical Butterflies, D-lish DotsResin
Cherry Blossoms and some Leaves.

I've also used some of the pretty white Doilies from the store.  I cut one into
quarters and used 2 pieces in the corners of the frames.
Behind the frames I have used a Chevron Bag.

Some strips of Wordfetti are perfect for little extras on your pages.
The couple of quotes I've used here have been held together with one of the
super cute Mini Wooden Pegs.

All finished off with a flair from the Dainty Doilies set.

Hello fun, D-lish Scraps share

This month I decided to have a play around with some old photos.
Maybe not the best quality of pic, but definitely an awesome trip down
memory lane.

The photos here are of Jordan wearing some crazy, googly glasses.

I wanted to use the colours in the glasses on my layout but didn't want
it to have a girly feel.

I wanted something colourful and fun.

My background has again started out with some heat embossing and a bit
of stencil work.

The next thing I did was take 3 of these awesome looking Wood Veneer

I wanted more, no matter what I did I could not get them to sit on my page
how I had it pictured in my head.

So I cut them up :)

I started with 3 frames and ended up with 7 pieces of wood veneer  to
decorate my page with.

I first painted my veneers with gesso.   I have then added some texture with
some whipped spackle.  Once dried, my circles have been coloured
with distress ink and the edges inked with black.
Finished off with some Dimensional Magic.

I have done the same with this cute little Wood Veneer Heart.

I've added other goodies with nice bright colours to complement the
circles and Jords googly glasses, D-lish Dots, and more D-lish Dots, a Mini Peg,
a couple of Journal It's, a quote from the Everyday Moments Wordfetti and
a coloured doily.

I made my title with some Freckled Fawn Wood chip Words which I have again
painted with gesso, coloured with inks and finished with Dimensional Magic.

I finished my page off with some torn pieces of washi tape.
These were a last minute addition as I'd decided to journal around my little circles.

Half of it was illegible and the other half just looked really, really sad.

So I covered it in washi and just added bits of it randomly where there wasn't
writing just to even the look of the page out.

But that's our little secret, if anyone asks we can
just tell them it's a design element ♥

Scrap Around the World November

I can't believe it's the 2nd day of
November and I already have one of
this months challenges completed.

I knew as soon as I saw this gorgeous
mood board from
that I needed to have a try at it.

Gorgeous!
Super gorgeous!!

There is not much in this board that I
didn't draw inspiration from.  Everything
spoke to me.  The music paper with string.
The flowers. The gorgeous colours.
The doily curtain.
The quote.

I started my page of with lots of
heat embossing with doily stamps
and matched them with the colours
of the flowers in the board.

I've built up heaps of layers with
doilies, die cuts, tissue paper
and flowers.

Lots of pretty matching flowers .

Thanks heaps for stopping by

Scrap the Girls November

Pinch and a punch!!

When we reach November I always get a
shock at how fast the year has gone.
It's a sign that Santa will soon be here and
a reminder of how close the new year is.

My first share for November is the
gorgeous sketch for Scrap the Girls.

I've used the Kaisercraft Kaleidoscrope
collection for my page.  Such a pretty set.

Lots of layering with vellum, doilies,
die cuts tissue paper and stickers.

Super cute black pegs, resin flower, enamel
dots, twine, gold stripe bag and washi tape
all from D-lish Scraps.

Hope you all get a chance to join in this month.
The sketch is gorgeous and we have some
awesome prizes from the following sponsors.
