Heart and Soul for Bee Arty

Hi there.  Today I'm sharing a canvas that I created with Bee Arty goodies.

The base of the canvas has been coated with Heavy White Gesso and a few pieces of torn book paper has been added.

I have some flourishes that I made with a mold and some paper clay.  A coat of Heavy Black Gesso has been added to these and once dry a layer of Sienna Colour Paste.

The flourishes have then been adhered to the middle of my canvas and some different sized balls added around these.  To colour these I have used a little water mixed in with some Peacock Shimmer Dust.

It was really hard to capture the beautiful shimmer of the Sienna paste and it's perfect over the black gesso.
I also added some shimmer to the wings with a Clear Shimmer Pen.

The little heart in the middle is a left over from a previous project.  If you'd like to see how this was made click on the photo below.

Hope you've been inspired 💙

Family for Scrap FX

Hi, welcome to my family themed page today.
This page started by making some circles around the page.  I traced around the circle stencil and then moved it slightly and repeated until I had 3 circles for each one.
I can't tell you how much I love this template.  It's my absolute favourite thing at the moment.  I've always loved using circles on my projects but can not draw them no matter how hard or little I try.  I usually end up pulling out the silhouette machine and using it to draw them.  This stencil makes it so much easier.
I've coloured the circles with distress inks.  Then I splashed on some water and blotted it off after a couple of minutes.  I then drew some messy stitching around each circle.
The Family Branch chipboard piece has been heat embossed.  I then masked off the embossed sections so that I could embellish the little birdies.  For this I added some Stamp and Bond to the birds, heated it and added some flocking (really stash busting for that).  I loved it so much that I did a little heart from the Duo Hearts chipboard pack for the bottom of my page.
I used the chicken wire stamp to add more interest to the layout.  I have also die cut some white card with a Colour Blast die and poked it around my photo.

Family layout for Scrap FX

Welcome to my September share.  Today I have a very "Springy" page for you.
This one started on a gel printed background from my stash.
I used the Botanical Stencil small and some gel gloss medium to create a little hub for my focal point.  I heat dried this and then added some water colours.
I've then used 3 different colours of embossing powders and heat embossed the Family Flower large chipboard piece.  I've then done the same to the white Fresh Flowers.
A couple of butterflies from the Butterfly transparency have been added under my photo and I have stamped some Scallop Border stamps to the top and bottom edges.

A layout for Scrap FX

A new month and a new release of some gorgeous goodies.
This one is all vintage and is super gorgeous.
This time I've made a 12 x 12 page to share with you.  I started the background with just a simple scrape of paint across the middle of the page.
I've then added some modelling paste to this with the Flourish Panel Stencil.
I wanted to frame the centre of my layout so I used 2 of the Laurel Vine chipboard pieces.  I painted these with black gesso, making sure that one was upside down so that it sat like a frame on the page.
The last thing i did was to stamp half the Medallion Stamp in the top and bottom corners of my layout.
Hope you've been inspired.

Strawberry Gardens for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, nice to be back for my second share this month.
My page started with water colouring a strawberry for the background and i just built up some layers.
The title was taken from 2 title pieces of chipboard Strawberry Delight and Hamilton Gardens.  I just cut off the words I wanted to use and painted them in black.
I cut the Toadstool Log in half to make it stretch across my page and popped my photo on top of this so you ca't see the gap.
I've added a little glossy accents to some of the chipboard pieces to give it a nice glossy shine and cut a few butterflies from the Butterfly Transparency and added them to my page.  I've bent the wings up on these to add a little dimension.
My page has been finished off with a little stamping with the Toadstool stamp.

My next layout started with the Random Dots Stencil and some blue water colour.
I also coloured the white Paradise Frame in the same colour.  I have cut this up, along with the black one and used it to form part on my photo cluster.
A couple of butterflies have been cut from the transparency and the backs of these have been painted.
I also cut some little pieces from the Travel Transparency and  popped them on my page with matte medium.
