Way to go Idaho!!

I did a page and I'm happy with it!! I'd been reading on Debbie Johnsons and Melissa Kennedys blog about simpler scrapping and the reason why they scrapped in the first place.

I've never scrapped to preserve memories, I think the photos themselves do this. I do like though that our photos are looked at more since I started scrapping instead of just being hidden away in a box somewhere.

We all have different reasons why we scrap. I do it because it's a hobby, it's relaxing and I get to play with pretty things. It's all creative for me. I don't care who gets to keep (or throw away if the case may be) my albums in 100 years time. I scrap for my pleasure only.

So after reading their blogs I decided I needed to go simple and see if that helped get me going again....and it worked. I grabbed an old photo and a piece of bazzill and started from there. No layering, no measuring and no sorting through mountains of papers. I love this page :)

Well Ros what can I say ... You are exactly like me.

Your page is gorgeous!

Have a look at my blog back here where I not quite so eloquently went through a similar thing

I love your work no matter how you scrap Ros. This layout is great. I scrap also cause I love the hobby but I sometimes am scrapping to please others not myself. Its meant to be enjoying :)

Gorgeous pages Ros! Long time no see!

I'm going through a similar phase atm I think... i still need to work out why I scrap though! :) I love the idea of my kids being able to read a story about the photo to trigger memories, but I also love the creative side... still searching for the answer....

I started simple scrapping last week as I hadn't scrapped a LO in about 2 mths, and it definitely got my me back into the swing of things!

Good to see you're back into it too! As long as it makes you feel happy - keep doing it, I say!!

Good to 'see' you again mate!!
