Scrap the Girls mid month reveal

D-lish Scraps May share

My page today is a little different than my usual.

Do you ever feel a little stale? Like everything you are doing

seems the same and you need to do something different?

I've been a bit like that the last couple of weeks and usually a

good sketch or challenge is enough to get me out of a slump

but with time flying by the past month, there was barely any time.

I remember a post that Alz did one time where she decided to scrap lift

one of her own pages, so I pulled out a few boxes

....cause I am so slack and yes, most of my pages

are stacked in pizza boxes....

and I picked a page that was very different than my usual

style and dove right in.

My page started with some Whipped Spackle and a stencil and then a

few different strips of washi tape, torn down the middle, and placed

across the page.

Because I knew I was going to be using lots of spray and water,

I have put a small amount of glue on my washi tapes to

make sure they would stay stuck down.

My original page had a large photo but I couldn't tear myself

away from using a smaller one again.

I have taken a Multi Scallop Wood Veneer Frame and coated it

in quite a thick coating of embossing powder.

When I'm using frames and need to trim my photos into

different shapes, I place a little glue around the inside edge of

the frame, position it where I need it and set it aside to dry.

Once it's dry, because I only used glue on the inside edge of the frame, the

outer edge is not stuck and gives me enough room to be able to trim

around the photo just inside the outer edge of the frame.

I have layered some Hand Dyed Muslin and black cotton around the photo.

They are rub ons from the Pinkfesh Studio Up In The Clouds Collection.
They are super gorgeous gold but unfortunately
I just could not get them to translate from my page to the camera.
It's getting to that time of the year when it's overcast most days
when I'm finished work.
But trust me!
They are gorgeous.

I have again used a black sequin bow because I can't resist them.
Too cute!
Around my clusters I have put some Glass Cabochons. I use Matte Medium
to stick these down on my page because it drys clear.

Above you can see a Resin Bird and a gorgeous pink
Resin Flower. I ended up scattering these around the page
to add a pop of colour.

I have used heaps of different Paper Flowers.

There's a few photos but I wanted to try and show the different shades.

I used the one colour spray on my page but because I have used

different colour flowers instead of plain white ones, I have been able

to get a monochrome look.

All sprayed with Bachelor Button Blue, but all a slightly

different tone.

Together, for D-lish Scraps

Hi there, I can't believe how fast my turn comes around.

This year is flying by.

I have once again done my page with just plain white

cardstock and added some ink, stamps and pencils.

I wanted to keep a lot of white space on this page so I have

embellished it with small clusters of goodies.

The title is Memory Maze chipboard which I have embossed.

When using more than one embossing powder, start with the lightest

colour first, finishing with the darkest.

The little cluster down the bottom is some

Doodled Stars Washi Tape, a Neon Heart some Bitty Blooms

and some D-lish Scraps Enamel Dots.

I pulled out the Motex and added a little banner.

All finished off with some more Bitty Blooms, a Sequin Bow and D-lish Dots.

Tomorrow I'm back with something completely different.
I used patterned paper! A bit of a rarity for me lately.

Family

During March Words or Whatever sent out some

chipboard to all that applied, to take part in

WOW Triple Treat.

I wish I took a photo of the gorgeous goodies

before I used them but didn't think at the time.

We received a scalloped frame, the word # Family

and a couple of hearts.

And here's what I came up with.

I removed the middle piece from the frame and

embossed the outside which I have then used to frame

this tiny photo.

I can't believe I got a photo of myself and my 7 brothers and sisters all in that little frame. Too cool!

For the title and hearts I embossed with a red powder and then again with gold.

The gorgeous stamp I have used is another

Carabelle stamp that I got from Time to Create.

I gots new stamps!

I have just had the most awesome weekend. I ventured off to my first Paperific where as one of this years Scrapbooking Memories Masters, we were invited to display some of our work.

OMG! It was awesome and so so strange to see people looking and talking about my pages. But I loved it!!

I also had the amazing pleasure of spending time

with these awesome ladies, some of my fellow Masters,

Alz Callcott (one of my BFFs), Tracey Fowler,

Michelle Logan and Fiona Paltridge.

Total awe of my company on the weekend.

So that brings me to this page and my new stamps. Plus a 6 am morning, a need to get crafty and a want to have a new page to add to the lot I was displaying.
Ohh and my fabulous new stash of Carabelle Studio stamps that I stumbled across at Time to Create. And I stumbled upon them again a few days later and then again last week, and probably will just happen to stubble across some more again next week ...I have a problem
They're freakin awesome!!
