A canvas for Scrap FX

So nice to be able to join you as part of the Scrap FX team.
Seeing as this months release is all about love, I thought I’d make a little canvas for my niece.
I started out with a 6x6 canvas which I painted with acrylic paint in elephant and sterling.  The row of roses along the bottom is the Rose Garden stamp.  I used a brayer to add black acrylic paint to this and stamped a few times across the bottom of the canvas.
I've added a few layers of  Colour Blast Bling embossing powder onto the Heart Swathe chipboard piece.  I always add at least 3 coats of embossing powder to my chipboard pieces.  This gives them a nice thick look.  The Heart Spray chipboard is a perfect little frame for a loved up photo.  I’ve embossed this with some Dusty Charcoal embossing powder.  This time the final coat was done with Snow White power for a nice shimmery look.  Using some scrap dots, this piece has been adhered over the top of the gold Heart Swathe.

The small hearts that are on here are the middle pieces from the Duo Hearts chipboard.  These have been given a coat of white gesso and then painted with a silver shimmer brush.  When I’m using smaller pieces I like to stick them to some temporary tape to make it easier to handle.
A quote has been added to the bottom of the canvas.  I cut this from the Love transparency and stuck this to some white card stock.  I cut this into a little banner shape and adhered to the bottom of the canvas.
