Scrap Around the World October

Every month I admire all the gorgeous
pages on the Scrap Around the World blog.

I thought this month I'd give a go.
There's honestly no way I could resist
this board.

My inspiration came from the colours in
the butterfly.  The blue and purple....purple
being a new discovery for me.  For so long it's
been a colour I have not liked.
Now I can not seem to get enough of it.

I also added a little gold in my title which
I drew from the gorgeousness of that shoe.

Another current love of mine that seems
to be a must have lately is heat
embossing.  So many gorgeous colours.

I've used Zing embossing powders and
some gorgeous Tinby melts.

You can also see a Freckled Fawn
veneer word, some Asters and that
fabulous flair, all from D-lish Scraps.

Lots of sequins and some Stickles.

My title has been painted with some Martha Stewart
Liquid Gold.  It's pretty awesome stuff.

Amazing, D-lish Scraps share

I started the background of this page a
couple of months ago.
I watched a technique of using ink on the
back of your stencils, misting with
water and then rubbing on your
cardstock.
It didn't quite work out how I wanted and it wasn't until I cut the cardstock up
that I liked the effect and I love the
way it looks against the black background.

I've layered lost of goodies underneath this photo of baby Tanner.
Cotton Twine  and a flair from the About A Boy set.

I've also used some Jounal It's  with a way too cute Freckled Fawn
Sentiment Clip.  I chose to use the star
 clip from the pack
to match in with my page.

I used a Resin Pastel Bunny and added lots
 of stars to the page.

For my title I've again used a Freckled Fawn Woodchip Word.
I have used embossing powder on the title and also on the
Chipboard Stars.   Love the look of the heat embossing on these.

My page has been finished off with
some Freckled Fawn Enamel Stars,
Pearl Cabochon Stars, and again,
 a sequin bow.

Have loved sharing with you again this month ♥

Crazy Family, D-lish Scraps share

I am so excited to be back as a member of the Design Team again.
I had no idea when I did my post
for the store last month that I'd be back.
Definitely had my fingers crossed though.
With so much gorgeousness and even more gorgeousness being added
to the shop all the time, I am even more excited to be sharing my
D-lish Scraps creations.

My first share this month is full of my favourite
 color, green.

I started my page with some stamp embossing, stamping
and some white spray.
Once this was dry I began to build up the area that my
photo is sitting on.

My pages are always quite dimensional and I like to build
layers.  I took some green wire and tightly wound it around a
round container to get a nice smooth finish.

When I use wire in my pages, I stick it down with a bit of
tacky glue in places that will be hidden from view.
Then I staple it to the page for extra hold.

I then took some of these awesome monochrome Journal Its
 and popped
them in the top of a couple of Bitty Bags.
After these were stuck down I added my photo that
has been mounted on some thick cardboard.

Around my wire circle I have placed a few Enamel Dots, a Pearl 3D Heart and
ta da!
sequin bow.

My title was made up with words from the Freckled Fawn Wood
Chip Words.  I've again coloured these and the Colourblock Veneers
with Wink of Stella pens.  For the Colourblock arrows, I wanted them
to match perfectly with my other embellishments so I turned them
over and coloured the back of the arrows.

I finished my page with a little cluster on the side.  This time I wrapped
 my green wire
tightly around a small paint bottle to get a smaller neat circle.

The mulberry butterflies have been sprayed to match and the heart veneer was
coloured with the Wink of Stells pens.

On top of the butterflies the cutest little Wood Veneer Bitty Bow and I have
finished off the cluster with some Enamel Dots and some Resin Roses.

Enjoy!!

Scrap the Girls October

The past month has flown and I
can't believe it's October already.
Do you feel that once it's October that you blink
and Christmas is here?

So to start this month off I am sharing
my page for this months Scrap The Girls
mood board.
This board is full of so much inspiration and
the for me it was the colours and little flowers
that drew me in.

I've used an old photo, again.
I seem to be reaching for the oldies lately.

Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays, Distress Ink,
and Stencil Girl and Donna Downey stencils
for my background.

Gorgeous sequin bow, Journal It tab, coloured
doily, enamel dots, muslin and
resin flowers
from my fave store, D-lish Scraps.

I've matted it all on a piece of paper
towel that I used to clean up the
excess sprays.  Perfect colour matching ♥

Awesome prizes up for grabs this month
