Cards for Scrap FX

Hi, my year started with a couple of weeks leave and grand plans for my time off.  Unfortunately, I spent the whole time sick.  It has left me super time poor and no projects that I planned have been achieved.

It's times like this that I am very grateful for my stack of gel prints.  My share today is a super quick project that has given me a few cards to add to my stash for when needed.

I started by cutting a piece of gel printed paper into 3 and die cutting some card bases.

This one features the Seed Stem stamps in small and large and the Chicken Wire stamp.  Once stamped I have them done some messy white outlines around the edges.

My second card is stamped with the Blossom Stem stamp and the Line Marking stamp.

And for my third one, I used the Bunch of Flowers and Scallop Borders stamps.

I stamped around the outside of a piece of card stock and then randomly coloured white spaces in with matching pencils.

The stamped gel printed pieces were then adhered to the top of these and then added to a blank card.

Life Delights in Life for Scrap FX

Hi, am starting this year (and decade) with an art journal page.  I'm so in love with this one, I think it's going to go in a frame.

I started with a distress inked background and have stamped in black the Bunch of Flowers stamp and in grey, the Chicken Wire stamp.  I've then used the Circle Stencil to trace and cut 3 circles from the Writing Collage Paper.  These have been adhered to my page with matte medium.

Once dried, I have outlined the circles in a few colours.  I have used distress inks and water to colour the White Bunch of Flowers and stuck this over a couple of the circles.

A strip has been cut from the Dream Transparency, the back of this painted and then adhered with a butterfly sitting across it from the Butterflies Transparency.  I bent the wings up on the butterfly before adding to the page to give it some dimension.
