Be Fearless for Bee Arty

Hi everyone, thanks for popping over today.  Today's share is all about no waste, made white scraps and left over product from previous projects.

I've created a tag for my share that started with a few things made from some left overs.  The tag itself was covered in with some left over Midnight and Cobalt Shimmer Dusts mixed with water.

The honeycomb piece was made from a piece I'd painted with some Heavy Black Gesso left over from a project.  I've then used this to mop up excess liquid from the Antique Shimmer Pen that I used on my last project.
After using the Honeycomb Die I set aside the middle pieces for a future project because they look like gorgeous little sequins.

My butterfly started on a scrap piece of paper which I have covered in embossing fluid.  I added a few layers of  Bling Embossing Powder so it was nice and thick.  While still hot I have pressed it with the script stamp form the Memories Stamp Set.

I then die cut this with the Butterfly Effect Die.

.

I have splashed the background with a little watered down Heavy White Gesso.

If you click here or on the photo below it will take you to another project I did a couple of years ago.  Same technique with embossing powder but this time I used it for the title on my page.

Hope you've been inspired 💙

Existence for Scrap FX

Hi everyone.

Today's share is something I've not done before, a mans face.  Apart from a couple of image transfers, I've never added males into my journal pages.  I have to say though, I love this guy.

A few gloss sprays were sprayed onto the background. Then I have used some posca pens to colour the back of some of the circles on the Circle Patterns Transparency and stuck a few around the page.

I wanted my dudes face to stand out and not fade into the background so I have painted the back of this with gesso.  I was then able to adhere him to my paper without it being transparent.

I used pastels to colour his face and top. Some numbers from the Number Tile Transparency have been cut and adhered around the page.  I also stuck down the eye from the Da Vinci Collage paper to this.

I have then used random words from the Text and Typeface Ricepaper.  Once these were stuck down and dried, I have used pastels that match the background to colour over the top of these.  I also did the same around the edge of my guy to make him blend in a little more.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

I Dream of Stars for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, am sharing with you today a canvas.

I started by adding some acrylic paint to my canvas.  Keeping it quite wet I have then pressed the Interlock Stencil into the background to get an imprint of the pattern.

Once this was all dry I have used the Circle Stencil and a posca pen to add some circles across the canvas.

The Circle Hash Frame has been given a coat of black gesso and then covered with brass wax.

I then used the circles in the chipboard as guides to cut out some pieces from the Blue Mandala Collage Paper which has then been glued to the bottom side of the circles.

After adding some embellishments I have filled each chipboard circle with some glossy accents for a nice shiny finish.

Hope you've been inpsired ♥
