I am really enjoying making cards at the moment. I've been selling them for the past month and have sold about 20 of them now. It gives me an excuse to make more...ohh, and buy more :)These two cards feature Whispy, a Saturated Canary image. I've made quiet a few cards with her this past week and she's my current fave.

This card is being entered in the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge and also a new one I've come across, Dream Valley Challenges and the current theme is sparkle.

A few challenges for the weekend

First one is a combined one. Stampin for the weekend has a sketch up on their blog and I combined it with Simply Magnolia which you need to use lace and buttons...the buttons are there, they're hidden in the middle of the flowers.

This dude here is a Spesch stamp and I've done him for Mad for Markers, black and orange challenge.

....and here's Teddy Bo again, he's just too cute. Challenge is pastel.

Saturated Canary challenge is a 123, 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellies. This is my first go with this little lady and I can see her becoming another favourite.

This card is being submitted for the Crafty Ribbons challenge. I used a Teddy Bo digi image and the challenge is to use ribbon and lace.

This card is for the Teddy Bo challenge blog and this week is Clean and Simple. I've merge my image with another digi I got at All That Scraps. I have printed a few of these and am going to have to be extra careful with my colouring. I put my Teddy Bo image on top of the ATS one and started my editing on the right side of Teddy. It wasn't until I got half way up the left side that I realised I hadn't placed her in a very good spot. It's just lucky that I coloured all my flowers before I did Teddy or else one of those little petals would have been brown and looking a wee bit rude.....plus it's Teddy Bea not Teddy Bo :)

Now poor Nevaeh here was destined just not to work as planned in my head. It's my first play with her and nothing went right. I coloured her one night in the lounge room and realise i have done a pretty messy job. At the time I thought the yellow was really nice and now I can't stand it. I'm trying to get into the habit of picking the paper I'm using before I colour an image but it doesn't work that way all the time. My card is for the Saturated Canary challenge and its suposed to have stitching on it...and it does. I have actually stitched all the way round but didn't even think that I'd covered it up when I put the tulle on there.

I made this card for a Crop for breast cancer day that I went to yesterday that was organised by Katie Green and was an awesome day. This little chickie is one of, if not the, most favourite stamp of mine.

....and for the first time in a while, a layout. Again, done for yesterdays Think Pink day. This is Bron ready to leave for her deb last year. Isn't she gorgeous?

So cute!!!! She's from Saturated Canary and I couldn't help myself (again) when I found these gorgeous images. I've used her for this weeks challenge which is a sketch.

Last weekend I did a class at Chandon Craft with Melissa Kennedy and made this gorgeous canvas. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

How gorgeous are these images? I know I say that everytime I find a new one but hese Teddy Bo images really are irresistable.

This first card is one hat I've cased from a Girls Night In, which was an afternoon class run by Tracy and Tracey from Scrapbooking Allsorts. I really loved the way the one in the class turned out and I will try and get a pic posted later in the week.

I'm entering this one in the Simon Says anything goes challenge.

This one has been made for the Teddy Bo challenge, which at the moment is Things With Wings.

So it's been a productive weekend as far as time spent with myself goes. Saturday and Sunday afternoon spent in the craft room. The first page I'd like to share is for The Kaisercraft blog. I haven't been blog hopping in ages and when I visited this one I was really impressed with what their DT are doing. Gorgeous stuff.

Anyways this is the sketch and my interpretation.

Bakers Dozen

I've just spent 3 hours (ok make that 4 now) trying to get these pics up here, which in comparison to the 3 1/2 months that I've been meaning too, probably isn't so bad.

Have been so busy and this is the first weekend in so long that I can remember having nothing planned. Gaz is at work and I even did the groceries last night so that I could have the day free.

I've also had my computer crash due to owning a 15 year old boy that doesn't realise what is and what isn't appropriate websites to look at on his mums computer. Even though we did a recovery it's been so messy and I still don't have everything back how it should be.

I don't have any contacts either, have lost them all. My email addy is the same if anyone wants to mail me so that I can get my contact list started again :)

Have quite an urge to get into my craft room ATM but it's such a pigsty that I cringe every time I walk past it. I have just finished making wedding invites for one of our boys wedding plus a 21st card for him and a card for someone having a baby and the mess just keeps piling up. I've also done a couple of classes and a set of cards, oh and some layouts just for fun too, since the last time I blogged. Am trying to work out a way to keep this blog more up to date with the timme I have but hopefully can put some more pics up shortly. Have had very little time to clean it and my room also seems to have turned in to a homeless shelter for every thing that no one knows where to put.

So anyways, here in alpha order are our 12 month Bakers Dozen efforts, layouts done on calico.

Aren't they all gorgeous, so happy with them. I still haven't decided how I want to store them, what type of covers to make.

Amazing!!!!

Today is my last day of leave and I've done nothing but stuff for me. No making the bed, no doing any washing, we even had left overs for dinner.

Had plenty of time to spend in my room and got a couple of cards done for some challenges.

I had a bit of trouble getting my photos to work right this afternoon but gave up and am posting them anyway.

This first one is being entered in Simon Says Stamp, Stampin'for the weekend and Copic Oz, all of which have the theme of LOVE/VALENTINES DAY.

My next card is for the Tickled Pink Stamps challenge and this week it is to use punches.

These next 2 are just cause. I've used the Simply Sassy stamps and had another play with my copic airbrush. Practice makes perfect....I ordered some Mask It today, so hopefully that will help. Does anyone know if you can use mask it in your printer.

....again my photos just didn't want to work today.

....not too bad, only a few days late. I did, though spend some time this week putting up a few sneak peaks of my layouts on the Bakers Dozen blog.

I've spent some time making some cards for a few challenges. This first one is for Club Anya Saturday Sketch. I tried to do vintage, not really what I'm used to doing, so I found it a bit tricky and not happy with the result at all.

So love this image. It's a digi from All That Scraps and the scroll in the background is a digi from Make It Crafty. I'm entering this in the ATS Wednesday Challenge and for this week the theme is Anything Goes. This is also the first time I used my Copic Airbrush and I really, really like it.

It feels like I've been waiting forever for my next cutie to arrive. I got 3 of these Simply Sassy girls and had a colour with all of them, then was straight back on here to order more. They are just so gorgeous.

It's our Miss Princess's birthday today so I used one of my Sassy stamps for her card and also am entering it in Sugar Bowl Challenge which this week is a sketch.

Can you believe it's the last day of school holidays. I can't believe how fast they go!! That also means my 4 weeks off is almost over. I only feel like had a couple of weeks leave....just not enough time to do everything.

....that I have to update my blog but then time just runs and runs…and now it’s almost 3 months since I’ve posted.

But again, it’s been a while since I’ve managed to get any craft done.

I’m on holidays at the moment and have felt inspired a little again. Apart from the rush of realising that my Bakers Dozen is far behind – and from the emails I’ve received since chrissy, it seems I’m not the only one – I also decided that a few challenges might help pull me out of my rut. Will try and get some sneak peaks of my B.dozen pages up during the next week.

I’m entering this card in the Oh Alice challenge blog and the theme this week is mainly Red or White. She’s so cute and although I’ve had a bit of a hiatus as far as my crafting goes, it hasn’t stopped me buying things like this little cutie.

This next card is for the Copic Challenge blog and the theme is Anything New. I had just bought this image from Mo’s when I saw this challenge, so she is my anything new.

Mad for Markers current challenge is all about Australia Day and the theme is either Red White and Blue or Green and Yellow.

This card is an identical layout to the one above and it's the first time I've used this cute little guy. This is for the Simon Says challenge blog. The challenge at the moment is a bingo card that has 9 squares and you choose 3 of the squares in a line to use on your card. I've chosen the row that is die cuts, embossing and ribbon. Ive used string instead of ribbon so hope this is Ok. The die and stamp I mounted the sentiment on is from Tickled Pink stamps and I love it - a new fave.

These next few are a couple of things I made last month. This shaker card I made in a class that Mandy-Lee did at Chandon Craft. I did a few classes with Mandy there last year and the last one was on using copic images on candles.

These next four are Christmas cards I made and they are the only Christmas cards I made this year, and they are still sitting in my room cause I'm such a slacker that I didn't make any more or send any out this year. I do, however, have every intention of making it up to everyone next year....it is the thought that counts, isn't it?

These first two I've used images from Sassy Cheryls. I got a few cuties from here but this is all I managed to use.

These next 2 have images I can't remember if I got from Tickled Pink Stamps or All That Scraps, but again only used a few of the images.

I've been finding it so hard to make time to do much as far as scrapping or cards go for the past few months. I have made these ones for a couple of challenges.

This first one is for the Totally Tilda Challenge and the theme is 'pink with pearls'

This next card is for a sketch at Tickled Pink Stamps. I got top 5 in this one last month with my cute Edwin sailor card. The image on this card is my other favourite Magnolia stamp. It's so cute.

Seeing as there's only one more day til November, I'm thinking that I need to start on some Christmas cards.

New faves

It’s been a little while but I’ve been out of action as far as crafting the past few months.

I have still been collecting goodies though :) One of my fave stamps at the moment are Greeting Farm Creeper Crew. I’ve been collecting these cuties and I think I’ve got them all now – just need to ink the up….eventually.

The card is for the Mad for Markers blog which is pink colouring, I didn’t get the pic taken in time today before it clouded over so will try and replace it during the week. This Creeper is called Tuesday.

This one is from the Greeting Farm Sweet and Toxic set. Cute hey!! Next weekend I will try and use the other stamp from the set.

This image is a digi Greeting Farm stamp and the card was made for Jords 15th birthday last month. A little ranga for my little ranga :)

I put this page together today too. Seems like ages again but these are some pics I took a few months ago.

Here’s a couple of Magnolia stamps for some challenges. This first one has what I think is the cutest Edwin stamp ever and it’s for the Tickled Pink Stamps monthly challenge.

An ATC

A very quick post cause I wanted to get this ATC up before it closes.

It's a swap for Mad for Markers. Decided to play along cause I haven't made one for ages and I haven't been in a swap for ages either. They're great fun to make and they are also a perfect size to use on gatefold cards.

My card I have made here is for the Kenny K challenge, it's the first one the theme is pastel. I have used a dark brown cardstock but I've done the image in pastels. Her name is Rock Chic and she's from the Glam Gang. I love all of the Glam Gang images and have coloured a few so far but not done anything with them yet.

The sentiment stamp and die cut is from Papertrey Ink and I want to thank Tammy for organising the order. The thank's is a bit belated but I haven't been able to get on here lately and spent all of the past few days in bed sick. Stupid colds.

Looking at this page and over the cards I've made the last couple of weeks I have realised that no matter how many flowers (hmmm...and that would be thousands) that I have I more than often seem to use the Prima hydrangeas.

...I'm sure that's not something you would normally say, but I don't care. I'm happy it's a long weekend :)

I had a plan of spending it all in my craft room. That idea fizzed out yesterday when I walked in there and realised what a pig sty it was. A few hours of cleaning later and I finally got to sit down and get bizzy.

I still have to clean up my stamps. I used to have them so organised. Folders for different ones. My stamps mounted on ezy mount are stored in CD containers in a disc holder. The prob is now tho that there are so many different types that I don't know how to organise them. My wooden ones are on a shelf, then I have a few different types of storage folders for others and then piles of loose ones I just chuck in a box. I will be after a sentiment or a flourish and then hunt through them all and half the time I end up throwing all of them in a box. They're a mess and not sure what to do with them.

So far this weekend I've done a couple of challenges. I've decided that I must love these images cause I rarely use the same ones twice in a row, sometimes never again. These cuties will def. be getting a bit of a workout.

This first one is for the Burtonesque Dolls challenge. I've been watching this blog for the past few weeks and this one peeked my interest as soon as I saw it. Helps haveing the beautiful Lilith as inspiration too!! With this challenge your design had to be inspired by Sweeny Todd. I got my inspiration from the first pic on the blog and used the colour theme. You also had to use decorative scissors or a distress tool. I used a sanding block on my cardstock.

This next one is for the Lil Lolita Challenge Blog and the theme they have is Anything Goes. How easy!!

Take two..

that's how I feel with a couple of these cards. Two of the images I had to colour from scratch after cutting them out and this first card has been salvaged and extra flowers added to cover my mistake.

So, it's been 4 weeks since I gave up smoking. Yay me :) but the problem is I don't have an excuse to leave my craft room anymore. I used to pop out and have a coffee with a smoke whenever I needed a nicotine hit. Well since I gave them up I've sort of started taking my coffee into my craft room with me. Big mistake, yeah. A full cup right over the middle of my craft table, over the card I'd spent 2 hours making and over a pile of coloured images.

This first card is of Lilith, she's one of the Lil Lolita stamps from Tickled Pink. This is the card I tried to salvage by covering up with flowers and cutting around the ruined paper. Heaps of people know I'm not a fan of purple but I think it really suits her.

This is Willow, another Lil Lolita stamp. LOL, I just noticed I haven't coloured her eyelids. Whoops, will have to fix that.

....and another one, this time Evie. So cute. Out cats name is Eevee and recently I moved my desk around and right above the hutch is one of the central heating vents - she's moved there. Permanently perched on the top of my desk. The only time I see her moving about now is to go to her food. How cute is this stamp!!!!

The image on this card is Kraftin Kimmie stamp and she's called Perfect Poison. I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw her.

Finally this is a digi image from Tiddly Inks. The sentiment says 'not ur average princess'. I saw this saying on a card on a blog I looked at last week but don't know who's it was. Cute but, I will definitely use it again.

So did I learn my lesson. I'd like to say yes, but then last night as I'm at my table making this last card, I couldn't help myself. I had to have coffee.

Three challenges

Well it was supposed to be 3 but I've just come on to upload and seen that Simon Says Challenge has already finished. My bad...I finished the cards on the weekend and was too lazy to upload Sunday night.

So the Simon Says Challenge was to use pink with green and brown...not a fave colour combo, the pink and brown - nice - but with green!!

Tickled Pink Stamps is a sketch which I've followed and made a gatefold card. I got my first lot of Lil Lolita stamps yesterday and they are even yummier than they look on here.

Oh Alice challenge this week is to use swirls so I just used a cuttlebug folder and stickles for the swirlies :)

Look at this ones poor cheeks!! For some reason in the pic it looks like a couple of white dots have joined together.

This first page is the first of many that will feature pics of one of my family on the old tractor. Seeing as we took about 300 photos between us, there are definitely going to be more. I love this picture of Jord.

I had an extra day off this weekend and still didn't get everything done that I wanted to. Perhaps I should have got up early this morning instead of stayin in bed reading til 10.30.

These first 3 cards are using images fromBugaboo Stamps. Here's a couple of cards using 2 of the Skelekinz images.

This one is for the catch the bug challenge blog. The criteria for this challenge was to use flowers.

These next ones are Tiddly Inks images. I have coloured another one of the Gothic images in but ran out of time. Maybe during the week.

I have some of this stuff and would love some hints on how to use it. What tool do you use to apply it or do you just use a paint brush.

Very happy to have some of my cards on the Victoria Case blog :) I have a couple more Victoria Case images all coloured and ready to go, will try to get these on some cards this week too.

Loving digi stamps

Love the instant gratification with buying a digi stamp. I've got some really gorgeous ones to try and ink up this weekend. Here's the first couple.

This one is Catgirl from Tiddly Inks, she's one of the Gothic images. I love all the Gothic ones and had to get them all :)

This next card I've done for this weeks challenge at Oh,Alice! I've just made it in time but I had today off so this card was part of my plans. It's a Mo's digi and the challenge at Oh,Alice! this week was to make something for a child. I had trouble getting the colours right in my pic and didn't want to muck about too much cause the Stickles was still wet, so I've put a close up here that came out better.

My Copic E00 ran out today. Was majorly pee'd, it's my main skin colour. I've only used it to colour about 14 images and it's already dry as. Lid has been securely on and stored the same as all the other colors. Am hoping with them being $10.50 a pen that they would last longer than that. Am also having trouble with my E53. When I used it on images I've printed from the printer, my image gets a red tinge, like the black ink is bleeding. It doesn't happen with any of the other colours, just this one. Weird!!!!

A new addiction

So it's been a long time, hey!!

I've been wanting to update for ages but haven't had any mojo for what seems like forever. Over the past couple of weeks, I've had about 20 people ask me what's going on with my blog. So I am going to try and keep it updated more often.

Mojos been missing for about 5 months now and no matter what I've been trying it just doesn't want to come back. I've got a pile of pages that I've started on only to have them go to the 'I need to think about it'pile.

I have managed to complete two of my Bakers Dozen calico pages. I can't show them completely but I have posted some sneaky peakies of them on the Bakers Dozen 2010 blog.

My new addiction...Copics. I've spent the past few weeks learning how to use these - thank you You Tube. I'm still struggling with them a little - I need to practice colouring in the lines :)

I've finally felt confident enough with the colouring to make some cards with them.

I felt my husband climb into bed this morning after his night shift, snuggled in and went back to sleep. When I finally woke up and rolled over this is what was sitting on my table next to my bed :)

I've spent my afternoon in my craft room. I finished the March DT for Daisy & Dandelion and have been busting to start on Bakers Dozen stuff as well. The pages that we do for each other every month are on a piece of calico and I have just finished dying 1 piece with Alcohol Inks - I now have green fingers and stiff feeling skin (no gloves to be found anywhere) and am not 100% happy with the result I got.

I think that will be enough crafting for the day. Gaz ordered the Winter Olympic package on foxtel, so I have 4 channels to choose from and I need a coffee.

I finally played with my Edward stamp this week. He's so cute and was the perfect inspiration to get back into my little room. I used Glimmer Mist on his hair and it's given it a really nice effect but you really can't see it here.

This card's for Bronny who's 16 today. The pic is a bit blurry but it was the only one I took before popping the card in the mail. Love the papers.

that's how my craft room felt when I ventured inside it this week. I've done two pages in the last couple of days.

This one is my husbands aunt and uncle and a belated Christmas gift. I framed it in a white Bazzill shadow box and it looked really pretty.

....and my flower fettish continues, so many gorgeous ones available - and isn't that punch gorgeous:)

This is my new year project for the Daisy & Dandelion blog. Click on the link and have a look at the gorgeous stuff the rest of the DT have done this month. It's a bit late being posted but I've been without a computer on and off for a couple of weeks.

My poor PC died :(

We went shopping last week to get a new hard drive and came home with this baby - a 23"HP Touchsmart - its gorgeous but I'm having trouble getting my eyes to adjust to the size of the pages. My husbands eyes were ogling it as soon as we walked into the store.

We also updated my Photoshop version, according to the salesman, a case of loading the new one on and it will automatically pick up all my photos from the last one. WRONG!!!! After a few hours of panic that I'd lost all my photos that naturally I had failed to back up, my husband was able to find them on a file someplace hidden :) on my external drive.

I have heaps of craft to show. Mainly chrissy cards but I scanned them and the file is on my old PC so I quickly took some pics of the ones I hadn't sent off yet.

This is an advent calendar I made and gave to my mum. It's made with graphic 45 papers, a kaisercraft calendar and t!m holz crackle rock candy. I copied this :) from Cassie. The papers fit perfectly to the calendar.

This page is one of my hubbys and my wedding certificate. I was mucking around one day on the puter and made the background paper with lyrics.

A lot of the baggies and tags I made I had already gifted and forgotten to take photos. The little houses I made 5 of and love them, will def make more - i got the template from the Magnolia magazine.

I did most of my cards as gatefold cards this year, found it was quite simple and got through them pretty quick.

since Ive posted anything here.

I have finally got my internet back to normal but haven't had any desire to be near my computer at all...just needing a bit of a rest from it.

I discovered a new love. Once I'd had enough of waiting for my internet to be fixed and declared my computer a no go zone, I rediscovered reading. So much reading that my husband bought me a Kindle (an electronic book reader). Since I started reading again, I've been more relaxed than I can remember being in so long.... I love love love my Kindle :)

We got a new car a couple of weeks ago. Had talked about it for a couple of months now and my little thing was getting a bit old. We got a Mazda 3 and it's so nice - very happy with our choice.

The past couple of weeks I've had some of my cards accepted for publishing, which is exciting, i had never thought about subbing cards before. Glad i did now :)

This page I've done for this month design team project for Daisy & Dandelion. The theme is christmas but I wanted to avoid making a card which seemed like the obvious item to make.

The photo is Jord...I should say Jordy cause that's what he's insisting everyone call him lately.

I also had a much around trying to make some simply table decorations. When I say simple I was trying to think of things that took less than 5 minutes to make cause this time of year can be so hectic.

I made some little windmills and made some napkin rings. The can also be used to hold christmas crackers and were so quick to make. I've used Glitz glue glitter and Daisy & Dandelion stickers for these. I stuck the sticers onto white card to make them stonger and then cut them out. The windmills can also be glued to straws for chrissy drinks. I also made some name place cards and place mats which I will get some pics of and post this week.

So my internet is driving me insane. We were supposed to be ported over to our new provider on the 9th Oct, but are still waiting!!!

First I will say sorry that I haven't visited any blogs lately and left comments for all the gorgeous work I usually see. I just can't stand to be on my computer at the moment. It really is taking me at least 10 minutes to open one page.

I have some photos of this months Daisy and Dandelion project. I've made a Halloween card and done a little bouncy pop out thing in the middle. The instructions are here if you want to have a try.

Today I finished my first project for the Daisy & Dandelion blog. I will post pics once it's ok to do so.

I had a lot of fun doing this and was actually quite dreading it. Halloweens not something I've ever been into and here in Australia there's not too many others that are either.

I will say I used a little Vampire on it...I couldn't help myself. I bought the Twilight book last week and couldn't put it down. I hired the movie yesterday and I have to say that I wasn't as impressed with that as the book - although I did have to watch it again today :)

So Friday I was straight off to the bookshop again to purchase the 2nd one. I did ban myself from touching it this weekend though, because I've completely neglected everything else I should have been doing the past week.

I couldn't help myself , and at 11.30 last night I started it. I did make myself put it down at about 1.30am but I could have stayed in bed reading all night.

I've also put this page together using some of the Halloween products that Erica sent me but the layout is not based on Halloween.

The photo is of Jordy, taken in Adelaide a few years ago. I've wanted to scrap this for ages but just couldn't find the right papers to put with it. As soon as I got Ericas parcel I know the papers were perfect for this pic.

I've used the Daisy & Dandelion, Pumpkin & Aubergine trick or treat paper pad, a cute Aubergine die cut and a journal spot from the Little Book of Mischief, in the same range and a piece of Papermania couture ribbon.

I've also been losing track of all my blogging and missing Facebook the last couple of weeks.
We are still in the process of changing internet providers and still on dial up. Our ADSL2 was supposed to be ready to go by friday, but not luck...I will catch up eventually. It's just so frustrating to have to wait 5 to 10 minutes every time I need a page to load.

about 12 months ago. The intention at the time was to somehow incorporate them into so scrapbook pages. Not full on digital just a bit of a go at hybrid.

Last week my husband went to Harvey Norman for me to get some ink and came home with an A3 printer. Way cool!!! So on Sunday I printed out one of the frames and did this page of my sister. It's of her graduation from Law, which must have been 2 years ago now, and I've wanted to do a page for her for ages.

Love the frame and the flowers...not totally sold on the page tho. I've never really been able to get into the circle thing on pages...my OCD and straight lines playing with my head :)

I had this image that I'd coloured the other week so it was only a quick 15 minute throw together card but am happy with how it turned out. Again, it's been ages since I did a layout.

It started with having to put one together for a class for this years Crop 4 a Cause day held by Chandon Craft....must have caught the bug again, cause I did 3 pages. 3 pages!!!! I can't even manage to get that many done at an all day crop :)

This first one I did start weeks ago and kept pulling it out and fluffing around with it. Bit the bullet today and stuck everything down. Used gorgeous Webster Pages.

I love this page. I so love all the papers that I've used and am way too in love with all the gorgeous prima flowers around at the moment. Again this is Websters Pages and I've added it to an October Afternoon page and also a Pink Paislee paper, pulled out the distress inks and got my fingers dirty. The little word highlighted in green says 'ever'.

I can definately see that my style is changing again. Keeps things interesting :)

I know that I'm easily excitable but those from the stamping world will know how hard these little cuties are to get your hands on. They are only sold in the little country they are made in :)

I have had a 3 day weekend and loved every minute of it. Full of shopping, sleeping and heaps of craft.

Topped off tonight with lasagna for dinner. I bought a pasta machine a couple of months ago. I christened it 2 weeks ago and made fettuccine. I hadn't realised how much trouble I would have with the dough but the taste was so worth it.

I decided today I would pull it out of the dark corner of the cupboard I'd shoved it in, to make my lasagna sheets. I think I've mastered it! In about a third of the time and a quarter of the mess than the first attempt, I made enough sheets for tonights dinner and had enough left over to make fettuccine for tomorrow night. Mmm, and it tasted really nice too.

So I've finally come to the realisation that I'm addicted to stamping. I can't stop colouring. I have so many gorgeous stamps now that I'm having trouble keeping up with them all.

These next 3 are all popcorn bear ones and I've done them as a gatefold card - another new fave thing of mine and really easy to make.

Started out on Friday night with a bit of physio. She proded and inflicted a pile of pain on my neck, but no matter how much she hurts it feels so nice....that and the painkillers and the bottle of wine that washes it all down :)

Saturday morning saw the normal trip to the supermarket. I hate this with a passion but managed to grab what was needed in about 30 minutes plus another 5 minutes at the butchers.

Saturday afternoon and I got a visit from my Dad and his wife. I haven't seen him since March and it was so nice.

I spent last night in my room stamping and colouring. Last week we took a trip to Ikea and bought one of the cube shelf thingys, it's huge and my craft room has had a major reshuffle and is now so organised. I got a new table for the room and Gary bought my a nice new chair...green, my fave colour. So wish I could paint the room and get rid of the awful purple but after my attempt at painting Jords room the other week I don't think I'll be allowed near a paint brush again. Ever!!!

So here's one of the projects I got done this weekend. I pulled out the cricut for this bag and the stamp is a Tina Wenke stamp by Stampavie.

and today I watched Nanny McFee and I loved it. What a fun movie!!!

One sketch, four cards

I've got these cute stamping bella stamps that I had a play with on Saturday night. Sunday morning doing a little blog hopping I came across this sketch on Kellie Winnells blog. It's a cute sketch and would be really quite easy to put together heaps of cards with this one, so the 4 images I coloured on Saturday night have been turned into this.

I love the stamps and a big lot of some of the stamps are solid and don't need colouring, like the black hair and dress. I have used my brand new Stampin Up ink pad and it looks shocking. It's really blotchy and no matter how many times I inked them up it was the same. I had the same problem when I used this ink on some other stamps I tried. I really want to get some black Momento (i think that's the name) ink, if anyone knows where I can get this can you let me know please :)

Sugar Bowl Challenge

I haven't done a challenge for a little while now. I thought I'd have a go at this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge using just the shades of grey and white again. It's based on this sketch and you had to include doodling. My doodling is hardly noticeable though, it's silver gel pen around the circle in the middle.

well that's how I feel I've been.

I made a conscious effort over the past month to stay clear of my craft room and the computer. Except for a few minute here and there on facebook I've managed to neglect all my blog reading and commenting and my craft completely. I was beginning to feel like these things were making me neglect everything else around me. My health and also my family. I've been sick with that stupid cold again and this time got an ear infection with it. All better now...nearly.

And my poor husband was getting a lack of attention because of my hobbies so I've set myself a new rule. I'm only allowed to blog and craft when he's at work or after we've spent some quality time together. He's a shift worker so I will still get time alone to do what I love, and when he's home I will have time to be with who I love.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit healthier and loved being in my little craft haven again.

This page is my gorgeous husband.

I also did this card with my Anya stamp, I got a few of these last month and hadn't had a play yet. I did a tri-fold card which I had wanted to try for ages. Here's a link for the resources section of Splitcoast Stampers, there's so many techniques and patterns there to try.

Christmas in July

was the theme of this months Crop 4 a Cause with a yummy roast turkey for dinner.

I had a great day and sat with a gorgeous group of ladies. The company is always so lovely on these days. Everyone is so friendly and talented. It's nice to walk around and see the beautiful work that's being done. What should have been a 20 minute drive turned into over an hour because I got lost. Again!!!. Next time I will take the Melways or my husbands GPS.

I managed to get 2 pages done. Yahoo. I think the last one I only got one and a half done. So 2 pages isn't too bad, I was only there for 9 hours!

I so love these papers and I'm kicking myself that I only bought 1 sheet of each.

I've also got a card to show. This is this fortnights entry for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog. It's a sketch this time and I used one of my new Tildas. I joined the Magnolia Stamp Club last month and each quarter you get a collection of stamps before they are released and it's an amazing saving of dollars too.

These are the pages I was asked to do for Scrapbook Creations. Loved that I was asked. Loved the opportunity. Hated the topic!! It was sport. My son is far from a sporty person and I really struggled with the topic. It also had to have some journaling on it, another thing I wouldn't usually do.

This first page is Emma. My step father coaches Emmas soccer team and because I don't know her I just did my journaling on facts about girls in soccer. I'm really happy how this page turned out. I did ruin about 8 sheets of patterned paper on this one though, trying to get it right.

This next one is Jord and Gary practicing karate. I don't mind this page. I used colours that I wouldn't normally put together.

This last page is when Geelong won the footy finals.

I think I struggled so much with them because the topic just isn't me.

Anways they are all in this months mag. Jords pretty happy to see himself there.

I bought this Bella Sarah Jane paper a couple of weeks ago with the intention of using it for cards. It seems to be the only thing I can put together lately.

I had one wish today...scrap, something that I haven't been able to do for what seems like forever. I'ts been 2 months since I did a layout and that was at the last Crop for a Cause day.

I put this page together before I even picked out a photo and everything just seemed to look exactly how I wanted it and it came together really quick.

Having a little blog hop and I've noticed a few hits coming from Stampin' When I Can so I thought I'd go and check it out. Gorgeous blog of Allison with lots of links to other beautiful places. She has these lists on her blog titled 'Newly Discovered' and my blog is listed there. Very cool and very flattering.

I've popped onto Magnolia Down Under Challenges Blog and see that I got a Top 3 badge for my Edwin boy card in last weeks challenge. Very cool again :)

Next stop on the blog list is off to Sugar Nellie and I see I've won the wedding candy. Two wedding stamps not released until July, with a few other bits and pieces to make wedding cards. How exciting!!! (I got these images from the Sugar Nellie blog, someone let me know if I'm not allowed to put the here :) please ).

I wasn't even going to blog hop tonight seeing as though once again this month I've used all my broadband download limit and am on dinosaur dial up again.

I'm hoping to get my card for the Sugar Bowl finished tonight, took me ages to decide which Gorjuss Girl I'm going to use. I've got her all coloured in and just have to pick some papers.

I ummed and arred about putting this here

...but I've seen some of the new releases on another blog now. I've been waiting for what seems like ages to get my hands on the new Kaisercraft Penny Royale and it was so worth the wait. The stuff is gorgeous. In fact all the new ranges are.

So I scrapped, for the first time in ages. I didn't exactly do a page but I still scrapped!! No stamps or pencils in sight, just a gorgeous off the page product. A Kaisercraft key holder in the shape of a birdhouse. How cute is this!!

I've layered heaps on this and the centre of the bird house has a circle die cut and I've used rubons on acetate circles and layered them over the top of this. I love how it's turned out. I originally thought I'd have to gift it to someone though cause the colour theme in our house is browns and greens, it doesn't quite match.

I then thought I could put it in my craft room and hang ribbons from it on little rings, but I've got a pretty cool ribbon holder already. Now I've decided that it is definitely going in the craft room. I'm going to hang my plastic templates and stencils from it and also my Tim Holtz ink mat thing, which I've been looking for a place to hang for ages.

A boy card!!! What the!!!

That's what I said when I saw the challenge at Magnolia Down Under. This fortnights challenge is all about a boy. I'm hopeless at male cards and don't even really have any guy images. I borrowed this Edwin stamp from Vickii at work and I'm really happy with how he's turned out. I love this paper I used too, I think it's 7 Gypsies.

The Just Magnolia challenge blog is to paper piece. I pieced my Tilda together the other day and made this quickie 5 minute acetate card tonight. Her dress, shoes and hair bow have been pieced with Sassafrass Lass paper. Not overly impressed with the end result but maybe I should have took my time a bit more :)

Note to self: have a look at the colour ink you pick up before going for it!!!

Tea Dye Distress ink is apparently darker than I think. In my mad rush I grabbed the wrong one, smugged it and then just had to cover the whole little pic.

I do love the acetate cards but, and I haven't made one for ages. Drives me insane trying to get a decent photo of them though.

My 1st Sugar Nellie

This is one of the images I got from Mel. I put through my first order for some Sugar Nellies last week and the same night I was back online putting through another order. I got some Gorjuss Girls and I can't wait to find them in my letterbox.

I've done this card for the Sugar Bowl Blog. It's a sketch and you also had to use blue and green.

This card has been done for a challenge on the Roses on Paper. The criteria for this one was to use pink, yellow and green.

It's Saturday night and I have no plans but to sit here and blog hop for a while and get some crafting done. I'm full up with a stupid cold and have no energy at all. Every bone in my body feels like it's aching. I need chocolate...desperately.....

If you like strawberry Freddos then you have to try the new Cadbury Berry Pannacotta, not quite as sweet as the strawberry frogs...just perfect. mmmm

So I've spent my public holiday doing more challenges. One day I might actually learn to take the photos of them before dark...I had lots of trouble with the pics of these ones tonight, so forgive the photography please.

I started this one last night for the Stampin for the Weekend blog. Criteria: purple and yellow....for those that don't me....I despise purple!! Thought I'd give it a go anyway and the combination of colours really is quite nice. Not me, but nice anyways. I'm sure one of my nans would like this card and I'm trying anything at the moment to get a bit of mojo back.

This one's my take for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog. Criteria: Bloomin Gorgeous, and I've taken this to mean flowers. This one doesn't have to be a card so I tried something different. I used my Cricut!!! Finally!! My Cricut and some MME papers, perfect combo.

I have another couple I've been trying to get started today for some challenges but haven't quite got there yet. That's what happens I spose when you don't get out of bed til 11am.

I've done a couple of cards again for this weeks challenge blogs.
This first one is for the Whiff of Joy challenge. Same stamp as last week but it's the only one I've got so far. Criteria this week was to use a charm so I've pulled out all my jewellery making gear and put this one together. I love this shiny Making Memories paper!
This is for the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog. Again, same stamp as I used last week, but it's just so cute. The criteria there this week is a sketch.
This last card is the one I made for my step mums birthday this week....same stamp again...can you tell this one's my favourite!!!

I tried something a little different with my colouring this weekend. I own 1, yes 1, Copic marker and decided I wanted to colour in an image with my pens. I have over 100 Marvy Le Plume markers so I'm not lacking in colours. I used these and my 1 Copic to colour an image and I really couldn't tell the difference between my Marveys and the Copic. Still didn't like the image and it went in the bin, so sticking to my pencils I think. Much more control of the colour.

So the plan for my long day weekend was to scrap. I haven't scrapped anything in ages. That plan went out the window today when I realised I had a project due in a couple of weeks for Scrapbook Creations and I hadn't composed anything or prepared the steps. A few hours later and I think I'm sorted. They want a photo too. Does anyone have a good photo I could borrow!! I think taking a pic of myself is going to be the hardest part of this challenge.

I got a new toy this week too. My Cricut came! Yay!!! But I don't know what to do with it. I've had a little play but I'm so lacking in inspiration lately that I've spent more time looking at it than using it.

Happy birthday to me

Well not quite. Not for another 6 weeks but I got an early present from my husband.
These have been on my wish list for quite a while now and were given to me last night when he got home from work.
I've just spent over an hour sharpening them, all 120 of them, and my fingers and hands feel all cramped up but it was so worth it. So many more colours to choose from now.

This is my gorgeous husband who is very supportive of all my little addictions and cravings and I love him so much.
...oh and although he doesn't show it, I'm sure he must get so sick of having to look at every little thing I cut out and paste.

I'm so addicted to colouring at the moment, I'm finding it really relaxing. This first card was a bit of a challenge for me. I hate purple!! My least favourite colour ever but I wanted to try something different. It's a pretty plain card overall but I actually like the look of the purple on this image.

This one I wanted to try different colours again. I've seen a few cards on my blog hoppings done with lime and orange. I knew I had to use some scraps I'd saved of Kaisercraft Playtime papers for this card.

I've been asked a few times where I've been getting my stamps from. I get them from a store called Bizzy Becs, Bec has been doing pre orders everymonth. I should have my Tilda ones by the end of the week, so I know what I'm going to be doing all weekend.

I lent this stamp to Simonne last week so she could copy my mothers day card. Here's the link to her card, it's gorgeous, not exactly the same but pretty close.

I know I've already put this pic on here but I wanted to show the different ways the stamp looks, depending on the colours used.
This one is my first go at paper piecing.....and I picked a pretty fiddly stamp to try this for the first time, but I think it's something I'll do again. It's a little hard to tell but the jeans are stamped on Basic Grey paper and the top is on a gorgeous Inque Boutique paper and has tiny flowers on it. I still had to colour the jeans for a bit more dimension tho. I used some old Kaisercraft paper for the card, it was nice to use up some of my scraps even if it was only a tiny bit.

This one I wanted to do different colour jeans and I've made it look a little different by cutting the image out around the body....leaving out the flowers and the ground. Oh, and I gave her blond hair...I usually only do them in browns and reds.

Oh and my last post with Adam Lambert from American Idol, well I've added all the songs he did to playlist. That dude can sing.

...well my cute nephew anyway! Yay!!! This is my 2nd layout I've had on the Aussie Scrap Source blog. Way cool, I was so excited to be asked. Thanks Chris. I have tried about 100 times since I started my blog to link Chris Millars blog here but it just won't work. I thought maybe cause its wordpress it's not working but 1 of my others I check daily is wordpress. I have no idea, any clue anyone?

This is my other card I made for the mothers day card comp at the crop 4 a cause last week. This is the one I didn't enter.

This is the inside. Very simple but I think matching the inside of the cards really finishes them off.

This one I made just cause. I used a stamp I got ages ago and had a play with my pencils.

This is the other page I did at last weeks crop. I love this Krafty Kuts paper. More colouring with my pencils. I took some pics before and realised I haven't added the journal spot I had planned. Will change the pic when I do.

This one is in Scrapbook Creations this month. Very cool again!!....and more colouring with my pencils:)

I fixed the pic up from my last post. Used my old little kodak, like 2 years old but old in camera years and now have finally worked out how to reset the SLR back to factory settings. Will have to do some experimenting with that tomorrow.

This is one of the ones from the Crop 4 a Cause day. Both layout I did on Saturday are using Fancy Pants Kraft Kutz. I'd been busting to get my hands on these. Even held onto my gift voucher I got for easter knowning that this range was arriving any time. The other page is almost finished....thought I might journal on it.
I've really struggled to get any decent pics of this page. All that money spent last year on a SLR course and I can't even seem to get automatic to work how I want it to lately. Am going to reset my camer to factory settings...as soon as I can find on my computer where I saved the manuel to. Not sure what's happening with it. My SLR has live view which I love cause I can't get used to using the eye view again, and the pics look perfect when I'm viewing them there but as soon as I upload they are shocking. Anways....

ohh...and how cute is that Basic Grey bling!!

Crop 4 a cause was on again

yesterday. I love these days, although I get very little done. I managed to do 2 pages but neither of them are quite finished...not bad for a 10 hour scrap.

It was held at the Kaisercraft outlet and this time there were comps to enter. There was a scrap ur bra, which I didn't do, but the entries were amazing. The other comps were a mothers day card, a layout about family and an off the page that was a gift. We all voted for our top 4 in each category and it was so hard to chose favourites between all the lovely entries.

There is always so many things given away at these crops. I won a door prize of some chipboard and stickers and in the raffle a $100- My Minds Eye (one of my faves) paper and embellishment pack.

I also voted 3rd in the layout comp and won a photo album for this.

So I got stuck into some more heidi swapp today. Used the fresh and free sing song paper, invisibles chipboard and letters and a ghost frame. I've also masked the chipboard 5 with the dots mask and used my pencils and mineral spirits to colour the border. Love the colours!!

Last night I went to the kaisercraft good Friday appeal crop and had a great time. Love catching up with everyone and looking at their gorgeous work. I had a play last night with the Heidi Swapp invisibles and I love them. Love that I can make my pages any colour I want to and also colour the stickers to match. This stuff is gorgeous and today I will be having a go at some of her others.

This page is done with the invisible circle frame and love notes stickers. Also used a Heidi Swapp dot overlay and transparency. I used hambly rub ons on acetate to make the wings under the love sticker.

well actually, been really tired. Since I got home from work tonight I've been trying madly to catch up on all my blog and forum comments. I've just been so tired lately.. really feels like its time for another holiday even tho its not that long since I've had some.

This first page is using Bo Bunny grease monkey papers and stickers, its a layout for Chandon Craft. The pics of my baby 10 years ago. I've wanted to scrap this photo for ages but didn't quite know how I wanted to do it. It's one of my fave pics of him. Noodle is my nickname for him, he doesn't really like it tho now that he's getting older.

This next one I've used another fave pic of mine with Pink Paislee papers. A few other favourite things on the page are the Maya Road sheer owl, clock and journal spots.

Have been busy today trying to get some photos organised for my layouts I've been asked to do for Scrapbook Creations. Was getting a bit worried the last week, wondering what to do. It's all sorted in my head now, so now all I have to do is get the ideas to paper.

Ever start a page

and it just doesn't look how you thought it would in your head. That's what happened with this layout. Not 100% happy with the 'bug off mum' one and I can't quite work out what it is I'm not happy about.
Very cute papers by My Little Shoebox, and I couldn't wait to get stuck into them. Both of the pages I've done here I started last Friday night at the Kaisercraft fundraiser for the Vic. fires. The crops there are always a great night and always a great cause.

This page I love though. My gorgeous niece and my dad at my wedding 2 years ago (....OMG how fast has that time gone!!!). I did this page on some bazzill swiss dots, not surprising that I love this cardstock cause my swiss dots embossing folder gets a bigger workout in my cuttlebug than anything else. I also used a Glitz (?) grid rub on that I had in my stash from when I did my masters entry, bazzill edges, my little shoe box die cuts, heidi swapp damask sticker and lots of eyelets. See the cute little branch, birds and owls? They're all Maya Road, chipboard, rub ons and sheers. I love them. So cute!!

There's so many gorgeous ranges out at the moment it's hard to pick a favourite. These next 2 pages I've done for Chandon Craft with some of the beautiful new papers.
This first one is another page using MME Bella Bella. I've used a few Heidi Swapp embellies on this one, including the dots mask and some gorgeous crystal chandelier drops. I also used one of the Heidi butterfly overlays. I cut this out around the printed shape and have stuck it down in the middle. The tips of the wing I bent up a bit before I stuck them to give a 3d look. The butterflies on the paper are also 3d. I've cut around the wings of these and bent them up to look like they're sitting up on the page. There's also a Tim Holtz tag, autumn leaves stickers, collections bird, distress inks, My Little Shoebox transparent owl and a Scrap FX chipboard gate.

This page is done with the beautiful Autumn Leaves Urban Junque papers. I've used pencils to colour some of the flowers, leaves and swirls. I've also used bazzill swiss dots (how cool is this cardstock), AL Urban Junque stickers, prima flowers and distress inks. I love how feminine these papers are.

Had planned on scrapping this afternoon but decided I might update the look of my blog. Started playing with Photoshop and 4 hours later..... oh well maybe tonight :)

Well a couple of people know but now I want to share my news with everyone.

I'm getting some pages published. Yippeeeee Yay!!!!

A few months ago I got my first acceptance from Scrapbook Creations and then a month later I got another one. These are in issues 65 and 66 which are coming up soon.

Since then I've had an acceptance from Creative Paper for issue 85 and since my current one is no. 75 its not til December....but I can wait.

Then last week I got an email from SC commissioning me to do a few pages for their July issue.

I am excited :)

I love this range of paper. Have gone to town a bit with the flowers here but once I started, I couldn't stop. I used a stamp-it stamp on the page and mucked it up a bit so I've hid it with the Heidi stickers, it was that or more flowers. As well as the paper, I also used bella bella die cuts. I just coloured these in with pencils and inked over top with brushed corduroy distress ink, so they weren't so white.

it's off to work I go. Yep. Was back at work this week. How fast can 4 weeks go?

So every night when I got home this week, I was just too tired to get into any crafting at all. I'm also totally engrossed in a book I borrowed from Raqual, so everytime I had a spare 2 minutes, I was reading.

Last Sunday night I did manage a couple of cards tho. This 'hoppy birthday' card is done with leftover 3 bugs paper and an imaginisce stamp.

This card I used some Basic Grey Porcelain paper and an imaginisce stamp.

I did a layout for Chandon Craft using this paper and love it. I've got these gorgeous Basic Grey Aviary stamps and can't wait to have a play with them. Apart from the fact that my room is a pigsty, it has been tiredness and the book keeping me from my room.

I also did a couple of quick (like, 2 minutes each) bags for Valentines Day for my husband and son. mmmm.....Lindt Balls.

I cleaned my room today which looked very much like a cyclone went through it. The plan for tonight is to hide away in there and do something with My Minds Eye Bella. I love this range. Very feminine.

Snips and Snails

I did this page last week for Chandon Craft. I loved using these papers from 3 bugs in a rug. I've also used a snail from the Maya Road butterflies and hugs chipboard set. I inked the cute little thing and then sprayed it
with dew drop Glimmer Mist.

My sister emailed me some photos of Samuel and his first day of school this week, so I'm sure there will be more pages of him coming up soon.

He looks way too little to start school...... and has it been 5 years already?

Teaching

Last night I taught a class at Chandon Craft. I've done 3 now over the last few weeks. Really enjoyed last night, I think I was relaxed more and in a bit more of a rhythm if that makes any sense. This is the class I did last night. I had done a single page very similar to this one and adapted it for a double page class. The pics are of my gorgeous newphew. The focus on these pages was using the Slice machine.

This next one is the class I'm teaching next week, another double page I adapted from a single one I'd done.

These next 2 were from my last 2 classes I did. The first one is a pic of one of my sisters and myself many years ago, and the other is my beutiful niece at Sovereign Hill.

It's a bit crazy for me to be teaching classes, I've never really been able to speak in front of others without being so nervous.

This next pic is of cards I made the other day using my Slice machine. I haven't been using it as much as I should and wanted to experiment with it. They're all done using the design cards, basics 1 and back to school. The 2nd one is done with the flower shape and I've cut it 7 different sizes and layered them with foam tape. I got this idea from Simonne. My favourite is the one with the tree on it. I put the tree through the cuttlebug embossing folder with the distressed lines.

This next one is just cause I wanted to stamp. The stamps are Autumn Leaves and Inkadinkado. I've also used a Heidi Swapp mask on this one.

So the other day we trialled the bus. He walked in the door so proud of himself.....I don't know what I was so worried about.

This is what I've been working on the past couple of days. I really enjoyed doing this page, love the browns and blues together. I've used a Hambly screen print transparency, Heidi Swapp rubons and felt flowers, prima flowers, queen & co felt, bazzill edges, hero arts stamp, kaisercraft pearls. I used spellbinders to cut the 'chicky babes' sign and my slice to cut the 'what's up tag'.

So I made a resolve to myself after the Heidi Swapp day that I was going to use my stamps on most layouts I do, which I have done again. Another one to blow the dust off of. I've also challenged myself to try and use my Slice on most pages I do as well. No use that baby collecting dust.

I thought I would include some pics of my fave tool. This is my Basic Grey magnetic mat that I bought here, I blogged about this a few post back. I can't stop telling people about this. Am so in love with this little black mat. In the pics I've taken you can see that the mat can be held upright and the magnets don't budge at all. It really is like having extra hands. Everything stays in place til I'm ready to stick.

Great day today with my separation anxiety from Jordan. When I picked him up this afternoon, we stayed back a little to watch where and when the bus comes and then followed it home. Feeling really confident about him getting this now, all though I think the bus driver thought I was a stalking loony.

He also announced today that he made a friend :) :) ..... v.happy mum.

I got him a key cut on Monday and put it on a billabong lanyard for him.....I swear it was Christmas. He had this clutched in his hand ready to go when he opened the car door today....I think no one else will be allowed to unlock the front door for long time. hhhmmm...sigh... serenity, really happy mum!!!

My baby was off to high school today. I'm still on holidays and the house was so quiet. I felt lost. He really is my best buddy and of course I cried. wa wa wa. Anyways some of the worry I've had is knowing how he's going to be getting home from school when I go back to work next week. All sorted now and feeling so much better. Still suffering mum guilt for sending him to a school that none of his mates have gone to but the mood he came home in whittled a little of this down. He jumped in the car and yelled ' the bullshit mood I was in this morning was a waste of time, it's so cool mum'.

So if u look close enough in the pics u will see the top right one is me trying to get a photo of him this morning, in his grump, not wanting to go to school. The other 2 he's home from his day and he's smiling, which makes mum smile too :)

No craft to show, I've made a couple of cards, will put up later and a couple of pages I did for Chandon, will share once they're on the Chandon blog.

I've again used Little Yellow Bicycle love letters paper for this page. The grey swirly bit is a T!m Holtz mask. How cool. I've used the negative of the mask which I don't think they were designed for cause if was a lot of work to make it happen. The black chipboard swirls were silver bella ones and I've just coloured them. Flowers are prima, kaisercraft droplets and a fiskers punch. The distressed corners is something that Mel Cook taught me. Thanks Mel, ur a gem.

Have used the slice machine to cut out the leaves, prima flowers, kaisercraft brad and my minds eye paper. The scallops were made with spellbinders and the stamps are hero arts, inkadinkado and autumn leaves. The pic on the right is the inside.

I've stamped acetate and placed it across the photos. How hard is it to get a decent shot!!! I've taken about 40 pics of this layout and this is the best I can get it. I've used Little Yellow Bicycle love letters paper, acetate, maya road chipboard tree, bazzill scalloped edge and the stamps are Heidi Swapp, Hero Arts and Autumn Leaves (trying to keep promise to self to use my stamps on pages more often).

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Basic Grey magnetic cutting mat. Apart from a bit of cutting this is the first layout I've done that I used it for. I love it. It is like having four extra hands. The little magnets hold everything in place and each time I picked something up to apply adhesive the little magnets were able to be used like guides to where it was to be stuck. No more knocking my page and bumping stuff all over, and also when I'm trying to work my pages out, I like to hold them up and look at them vertically. Love it!! Best tool I've bought in ages. ink blending tools

Look what my husband has done for me. I found something similar on a blog I was reading last week. Instead of having to spend $12- each time I want another blending tool he bought a piece of timber from Bunnings for $4- and there was enough to cut 23 blocks the same size as my tim holtz ones. I've glued the blending foam to each one and labelled them. On the ranger site they have PDFs of all the ink and paint names and you can just print them from there. I'm not going to put any handles on them cause you don't use the handles anyway. You can see in the picture that I don't have enough foam pads to do them all so if anyone knows where I can buy more please let me know. The blog I saw this on is craftystorage and there's heaps of great storage ideas.

This first one is a kaisercraft star album I did of some of my nephews kinder photos from last year. I put a piece of acetate in the middle of the book, sewed around the edge of this and added a fancy pants felt dinosaur to the page. I think it looks really cute. This next one is again my nephew, this time at his Maccas birthday party. It's a really simple page but still took me a couple of hours to do and I love how it turned out.

I did a page and I'm happy with it!! I'd been reading on Debbie Johnsons and Melissa Kennedys blog about simpler scrapping and the reason why they scrapped in the first place.

I've never scrapped to preserve memories, I think the photos themselves do this. I do like though that our photos are looked at more since I started scrapping instead of just being hidden away in a box somewhere.

We all have different reasons why we scrap. I do it because it's a hobby, it's relaxing and I get to play with pretty things. It's all creative for me. I don't care who gets to keep (or throw away if the case may be) my albums in 100 years time. I scrap for my pleasure only.

So after reading their blogs I decided I needed to go simple and see if that helped get me going again....and it worked. I grabbed an old photo and a piece of bazzill and started from there. No layering, no measuring and no sorting through mountains of papers. I love this page :)

Well I know I mentioned it last week but I honestly can't budge my rut. I thought I'd take my own advise and make some cards to try and kick me out of it, so we'll see. I did a page for Chandon Craft this weekend and I stuck and pulled apart the pages 3 times. I have 3 pages here that I've cut out and have ready to stick down but I just don't feel right about them. I just feeling that every page I'm doing lately looks the same. I'm trying to find new direction I think but it doesn't want to come naturally. Typical isn't it!! Today is the 1st day of my 4 weeks off work and I just want to paper craft. I have decluttered my room today so am hoping that may help.

Here are the cards I've just done. There's a couple I don't mind. Don't u just love Penny Black stamps. So cute. Half of these are just 5 minute jobs. A couple are my take on some Heidi Swapp ones that she does a tute on here.

I'm off to try a layout now

Oh and I'd really love to know how everyone is doing the photo collage thing on their blogs......please :)

is gorgeous. I bought a new stamp folder last week and it comes in a raw form for you to build and decorate. The folder holds 20 stamp sets. Had been wondering what papers I was going to use and then as soon as I saw these gorgeous black and white ones I knew!!

I also finally got a pull-ez. Really wanted the black one but none left so I settled for blue. I did think I owned heaps of ribbon but I still have quite a few holes left in mine to fill so great excuse to get some more.

im in a rut

creatively. I've been moping around my craft things for the past 2 weeks feeling like I don't know what I'm doing and that I'm not very good at this thing anyway. Usually if I feel a lack of a mojo I will make some cards to get back on track but I haven't been bothered to make them either.

I've spent the last week doing this page. Different from my other pages and not sure yet if I like it or not. It started cause I felt like colouring in and had some Prima paintables in my stash. I've also used Prima rue 88 and creative imaginations dare to dream papers and mesh which I've had for ages too. The rest of the products are; pink paislee paper, heidi swapp mask, corner and clear circle thing, prima and green tara flowers, maya road metal blossum and key, k & co brad and hambly rub on.

These are 2 layouts that I did on the weekend for Chandon Craft. I so loved using this basic grey paper. I think I have to get some more and make some cards. The papers gorgeous. I used the Heidi Swapp damask stamp and Autumn Leaves stamps on this page too cause I think they matched the paper perfectly. I have so many stamps and after going to create08 last week have been inspired to use them more on my layouts instead of just cards.

I haven't been on since the Heidi day but it was awesome. I had the best time and am happy to have learnt a couple of things. This is a card I made for Jords teacher as a thank you for the past 2 years. She's been amazing. It was only a quicky 15 min. thing but it done with one of the techniques we used on Tuesday. I have used Heidi Swapp masks before but never as successfully as what i did at the class. I have a renewed love of them. I have a stash a Tim Holtz inks and his blending tool so knew what I was doing with these but it was nice to use them in a different way. We did use the Ranger craft mats on the day and they are the nicest surface to work on. This week Chandon Craft got them in stock...guess what I'm buying tomorrow? :)
I love the shadow on the card from the clear butterfly.
I did get her to sign my name tag from the day because I'm wanting to use it to use it in a layout. Am so busy and so tired will upload pics of our classes when I get a chance to go through my goodies.
